HOW TO SELECT A BUFFER FOR A HEAT PUMP?

Note that the buffer is necessary if the water capacity of the central heating system is less than 10L per 1kW of heating power of the pump. Depending on the source of information and the type of pump, it is assumed that you should count about 25L per kW for radiator heating, 20L per kW in a mixed heating system, and 15L per kW for underfloor heating. In addition, in the case of the so-called combined heating system, when an additional source of heat besides the pump is used, such as a boiler or fireplace, or when the object is divided into several sections of circuits, such as underfloor heating and radiators - the buffer will also serve its purpose.

CLEANING OF THE TANK AND INSTALLATION

After installing the tank but before using it, the tank should be flushed by filling the tank, heating it to a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius, and then releasing the water through the tap at the furthest point in the system, the operation should be repeated.

The appropriate water intake for the bunded tank is the water supply network, the water quality of which meets the standards of Council Directive 98/83/EC of November 3, 1998 ref. Quality of water intended for human consumption and corresponding legislation of the Republic of Poland (Journal of Laws. 2017 no. 2294.

CONNECTION OF THE DOUBLE SHELL WATER EXCHANGER TANK TO THE SYSTEM

2.If the tank is installed in a closed heating system, a diaphragm expansion vessel with a capacity of no less than 5% of the tank's capacity must be installed, but if the tank is installed in an open system, a so-called expansion tank with a capacity of no less than 5% of the heater's capacity must be installed.

3 The installation begins with filling the tank with domestic water. The next step is to fill the jacket with boiler water (from the central heating system).

4.The permissible temperature for the operation of the tank, is a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius, the maximum working pressure of the tank 0.6 MPa. The maximum working pressure of the jacket 0.2 MPa.

It is an important element in a heating system with a heat pump - it is necessary for when there is less than 10L of central heating water capacity per 1kW of heating power of the pump, extends the life of the heat pump due to fewer pump start-ups, minimizes temperature fluctuations due to the heat storage function, guarantees the appropriate level of heating water flow. In addition, it protects the installation from overheating, and guarantees maximum utilization of heat in the installation.

ELECTRIC HEATER

The electric heater allows you to heat the domestic water in the tank outside the heating season. This applies to fixed-fuel boiler installations. If the installation is enriched with PV cells the heater can use the solar energy obtained by them. Our products have one hole for the heater as standard, so the option of installing it for the tank user can be used at any time.

HOW TO MATCH THE BUFFER LITERS TO THE CENTRAL HEATING AND HOT WATER SYSTEM?

The capacity depends on several factors, first of all, what kind of heating power requirements the facility has, whether the installation is designed for underfloor heating or radiators. Very important is whether the installation feeds underfloor heating or radiators.  Thanks to its characteristics, the buffer accumulates energy, which can be used in the heating system when it is needed, for example, after switching off the heat source (furnace). This device can use the source when it is cheapest, for example, in the 2nd energy tariff, which gives real savings.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE LITER SIZE OF THE TANK TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE FAMILY?

For shower use, you can assume about 40L per person, while for families using a bathtub you can assume an average of 50L per person. The liters we recommend are sufficient due to the high heating rate of our tanks.
